The design of the key means that it’s fatter on one edge. The key body hits the handle, so it won’t go all the way in, and stops the lock turning. Strangely the spare key which has rarely been used was also showing 'Low Battery' at the same time. Replaced the Panasonic 2025 with equivalent Duracell's so hopefully might get closer to 18
