Rev and Ele are probably the best for CC right now. Rev Staff 5 is amazing for breakbars. Similarly, Ele has skills like Air Focus 5 or Warhorn 4 for great breakbar damage. As for CCing a a bunch of small mobs, very few skills are better than the Mesmer Focus 4 pull which makes AOEing down a bunch of small mobs really easy.
Technically in fractals Power Weaver has the highest burst when the Soulbeast shares One Wolf Pack, but it's a somewhat more difficult rotation and a bit squishy and team-reliant. SchizoVoices • 3 yr. ago. Discretize website could give you an idea but they are more hardcore so rotations may be involved.
Asura are extremely intelligent, egotistical and magically talented. Elementalist, Necromancer and Engineer have always seemed best-suited to me. Elementalists- Asura use elemental magic in their machines. Engineer- Asura design and build stuff. Necromancer- Yes, necromancer.
It won't save you from critical mistakes, but Warrior/Necromancer are generally the safest bet. Being "Tanky" in GW2 is typically the difference between one-shot or two-shot; you don't really gain all that much by being tanky in general PvE; you just do less damage and contribute less to your party & groups.
Being tanky in GW2 means having high base HP. So "Necromancer" and "Warrior" are good options. Honestly, though, if you're eating dust in sub-80 maps it's probably a consequence of not leveling in the right areas or being under-geared.You can dps pve as well, it will be good enuf once you learn the rotation. (ofcourse lower than sword/focus builds) Staff tempest open world/pvp, hard to kill build, easy to master, you utilize elementals and yolo from range, can solo champion mobs with it, as staff has alot of CC abilities, and massive range. 5.Daredevil is by far the easiest thief specialization. Infinite dodges and amazing cleave ftw. I'd say Mirage is easiest for Mesmer because infinite dodge builds in PvE is just memes all the way down but I haven't dug enough into PvE Virtuoso to counter your argument.
If you want to play a hybrid dps, then it's best to choose a class with only 1 damaging condi, so you can reach 100% X condi duration with runes, sigils and traits (but no Expertise in stats).
