IMO the easiest way to make gold is with points in speechcraft so you can invest in merchants, increase their gold supply, and sell any type of item to any type of merchant. Then just make magicka damage potions that sell for 3k per potion. Each town has a handful of merchants and just traveling with 20 of those potions can net you a few
